graphics with two or more colors in the Columbia Scholastic Press Association’s
Gold Circle competition.
The Harbinger, a two-time
Pacemaker finalist, featured especially strong in visual and design categories
for the 2007 awards. Eight of its seven
Gold Circles and four honorable mentions were in visual categories.
"No Petty Prom" by Amanda Allison won second in the art and
illustration category for two or more colors.
"Marked for Improvement" also by Allison, won third in Page One design for a newsmagazine.
"Standing Out" by Laura Nelson, won an honorable mention in
sports page design feature.
