Howard Glaser has been quoted by CNBC, AP, the New York Times, Poynter's Congressional Quarterly, and CBS News. "He was generally identified as a 'mortgage industry consultant,'" writes Eamon Javers, "but the media seems to have largely missed the fact that Glaser, who operates a consulting firm called the Glaser Group, is paid by the very companies he was commenting on" -- Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae. "We weren't aware of it," says a CNBC rep.
