"We just have this one very important teaching tool that we have to figure out a financial solution for, and so far we haven't," said Dean Mills, dean of the University of Missouri School of Journalism. That tool is the Columbia Missourian, which is expected to show a $1 million deficit for the second straight year. The school is considering a partnership, or "pulling way back on the number and frequency" of the print edition and switching to a more digital publication.
