Williams: I didn't think "SNL" gig would help my news ratings

Brian Williams says he's "enormously glad" he overcame his initial doubts about guest-hosting "Saturday Night Live." "I had a lot of fun," he tells Howard Kurtz. "I did not think it would translate, that there would be an advantage in my day job. It never dawned on me." For the February sweeps, Williams' "Nightly News" averaged 9.5 million viewers to Charles Gibson's 9.3 million and Katie Couric 7 million or so.
