Long Beach Press-Telegram
The Long Beach city council voted to investigate how much money the city spends on public notices, ads and other items in the Press-Telegram, with the idea that the city could pull its ads to force a policy change at the MediaNews-owned paper. The vice mayor complains that an increasing number of stories are irrelevant to Long Beach readers and that the paper often misses local stories because of its small reporting staff. || LBGuild9400.com: About 50 journalists attended the meeting.
