In August, the Chronicle wrote about a San Jose station reacting to online comments during its newscasts, and how its anchor encourages viewers to "get in there" and spout off. Onion News Network anchor Brandon Armstrong (left) also responds to IMs and e-mails during his reports. He gets messages like this: "You do not belong on TV -- someone should sue you," and, of course, the simple "F--- you."
