Romenesko Letters
A yellow sticker attached to today's Baltimore Sun asks readers to see the editor's note on page 2 -- a message explaining that the news and editorial departments have their own staffs. "It seems strange that there would be a large sticker on the front page to warn readers of this," writes Kate Leventhal. "Any ideas of what's going on?"
> Sun editor Tim Franklin responds: "There's no sticky issue behind the front page 'sticky' note. The note that Ms. Leventhal referenced has been a standing policy statement on page two of the newspaper for more than two months, and it is designed to clarify for readers the separation of our news and and opinion pages. Today's page one 'sticky' was referring readers to a detailed note elsewhere on page two headlined, 'To Our Sunday Subscribers.' That note explains some circulation distribution changes as well as a newly redesigned feature section."
