Financial Times publisher Pearson is looking for partners to make a bid for Dow Jones, according to the Wall Street Journal. An offer is considered as a longshot, says the paper, but Pearson may feel compelled to act because of the competitive pressures which would be created by a combination of Dow Jones and News Corp. ||
Paul LaMonica: "I have great difficulty believing that the company actually would go ahead with it unless it really wanted to alienate its own shareholders." ||
