Boston Herald veteran Kevin Convey faces "an immense challenge" as the paper's new editor, says the Globe's Christopher Rowland. Boston University j-department chairman Lou Ureneck tells him: "It's never easy being the editor of the second newspaper in the city. Right now you might call the job mission impossible. If we can presume the current editor's approach wasn't working to grow circulation with the classic tabloid approach, one wonders what will work. The Herald has to find a way to zig against the Globe's zag, and it's going to be very difficult." || Boston Herald: There are no immediate plans to fill the managing editor spot.
