The newly formed Baltimore Media Group has told Tribune it has a "strong interest" in acquiring the Baltimore Sun.
Theodore G. Venetoulis, who heads the group, says the potential buyers understand two things: "One, that this will not be an investment that will provide the usual yield and return that some investors will be used to. ... Secondly, they've agreed that they would not in any way attempt to jeopardize the paper's independence or attempt to give it a certain ideological bent." || Related Washington Post
