Some on-air news talent will be asked to take hits in their wallets as part of NBC Universal's massive planned budget cuts, says NBC News chief Steve Capus. If enough on-air types accept smaller salaries, he predicts it could save jobs. At contract time, he tells Gail Shister, "we may go to somebody and say, 'We may ask you to take less money in your new deal. If you're not interested in that, we may have to part ways.'"
