El Nuevo Día Changes Everything
Posted by Juan Carlos Camus 7:39 AM

As a way for celebrating its 36th birthday, El Nuevo Día from Puerto Rico changed its printed and online look this week.

According its director, Luis Alberto Ferré Rangel, "This was a change that was deep, well-thought and studied and it answers directly to the requirements of readers and customers."

The main features that you can see at the home page of the online edition are the moving billboard done with Macromedia Flash that shows you the main news of the site sections (with buttons at bottom to stop and go) and the importance given to the "most commented news."Also new is the ability to capture comments inside the news.

On the bad side: As you read the comments from readers, you can see a lot of complaints about the changes and the technical problems due to the change from a known system (the old site) to the new one.
