EDITOR'S NOTE:
Al's Morning Meeting is a compendium of ideas, edited story excerpts and other materials from a variety of Web sites, as well as original concepts and analysis. When the information comes directly from another source, it will be attributed and a link will be provided whenever possible. The column is fact-checked, but depends on the accuracy and integrity of the original sources cited. We will correct errors and inaccuracies when we become aware of them.
Who Is Sarah Palin and Why Are Women Talking About Her?
Alaskans were surprised last week by their governor Sarah Palin's announcement that she is seven months pregnant.
Meanwhile, the
Anchorage Daily News
reports
that she is being discussed in Republican circles as a possible veep candidate. That may be farfetched, but the newspaper notes the national buzz about Palin, including mention by Rush Limbaugh.
Palin's pregnancy has sparked an interesting conversation
about balancing a high-profile career and a family
.
