Next Wednesday, the town of Carroll, Iowa, will get a new Wal-Mart Supercenter.
Maybe you've heard that retailers -- especially grocery store owners -- in small towns worry that the superstore will put them out of business.
But a guy who has studied these things says the hysteria that often arises before the opening of a Wal-Mart Supercenter is not necessary. Lots of small towns thrive just fine after the opening.
